ServiceMaster Janitorial Services provides commercial cleaning and janitorial services to businesses in Oakland, CA and the surrounding East Bay. This policy applies to the information we collect through the Site — including our quote-request form and, where enabled, our live chat feature — and does not apply to information collected offline or through any other channel not linked from this Site.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit information to us through it.

We collect information in two ways: information you choose to give us directly, and information collected automatically as you browse the Site.

We collect information you voluntarily submit through the Site, primarily through our quote-request form on the Contact page. That form asks for:

• Your name
• Your organization or company name
• Your work email address
• Your phone number
• Your facility type (selected from a fixed list)
• Optional additional details about your cleaning needs

Name, email, phone, organization, facility type, and details are required or optional exactly as marked on the form itself. We do not ask for, and you should never submit through this form, payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other government identification numbers.

If our Site offers a live chat / virtual assistant feature at the time you visit, information you type into that chat — including your name, contact details, and the content of your messages — is collected and stored in order to respond to you and maintain a record of the conversation. Certain sensitive patterns (such as payment card numbers, national identification numbers, and credentials) are automatically stripped from message text before it is sent to our AI service provider for generating a response, though the original message you sent is still retained in our own records so our team can review the conversation.

Like most websites, when you visit the Site we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, which may include:

• IP address and approximate geographic location
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent on the Site
• Referring website or search terms that led you to the Site
• Scroll depth and on-page engagement, used to understand which content is useful

This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies described in the Cookies and Similar Technologies section below, and through our website analytics tools described in Website Analytics.

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to quote requests and schedule walkthroughs or service
• Communicate with you about your inquiry, our services, or your account with us
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and the services we offer
• Understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve its content and usability
• Detect, investigate, and prevent spam, fraud, or abuse of our forms
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

We do not use the information collected through the Site to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

When you submit the quote-request form, the information you provide is delivered to our team by email through Resend, a third-party transactional email service, so we can follow up with you. We may also route inquiries into a customer relationship management (CRM) or workflow tool we use internally to track and respond to requests.

A hidden field on the form is used solely to detect automated spam submissions; it is not visible to visitors and is not used to collect information about you.

We use the contact information you provide only to respond to your request and for the related purposes described in this policy. We do not sell the information submitted through our forms.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help a website function and help site owners understand how it is used. The Site uses:

• Analytics cookies — set by Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to measure page views, engagement, and how visitors move through the Site (see Website Analytics).
• Functional cookies — used, where our live chat feature is enabled, to recognize you as an anonymous visitor across a conversation and, if you sign in through the chat, to keep you signed in.

Most web browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies may affect how well certain parts of the Site work, including remembering your place in a chat conversation. We do not currently display a cookie- consent banner on the Site; if that changes, this policy will be updated to reflect the choices available to you.

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics (GA4) on the Site. Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate traffic patterns — for example, which pages are most visited, how far visitors scroll, and how long they stay — so we can improve the Site's content and usability. It does not provide us with your name, email address, or other contact details.

By default, our analytics configuration treats analytics storage as allowed and advertising-related storage (ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalization) as denied, meaning the Site does not use these tools to build advertising profiles unless that default is changed in the future. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's browser add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The Site's current configuration defaults advertising-related cookies and signals to “denied” — we are not, at this time, using the Site to build advertising profiles or serve personalized ads through the tools installed on it. If we begin running online advertising campaigns in the future (for example, through Google Ads or similar platforms), we will update this Privacy Policy to describe the specific advertising technologies used and the choices available to you.

If you provide your email or phone number through our quote form, we may contact you about the inquiry you submitted. We do not send marketing communications to visitors who have not requested to hear from us.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• With the service providers described in Service Providers and Third Parties below, so they can perform services on our behalf;
• If required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ServiceMaster Janitorial Services, our customers, or others;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections; or
• With your consent or at your direction.

We use the following categories of third-party service providers to operate the Site and our business. Each processes information only to provide its service to us, and is not permitted to use it for its own independent purposes.

• Google (Tag Manager and Analytics) — website analytics, described above.
• Resend — delivers quote-request form submissions to our team by email.
• AI service provider — where our live chat feature is enabled, the content of your chat messages is processed by a third-party AI model provider in order to generate a response.
• Hosting infrastructure — our web hosting provider stores the Site's files and processes requests to serve the Site to your browser.

We retain information submitted through our quote-request form for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, provide services you request, and meet our business and legal recordkeeping obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Live chat conversation transcripts are retained for as long as needed to support you and maintain a service record. Analytics data is retained in accordance with the retention settings of our analytics provider.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through the Site, including transmitting form and chat data over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding the personal information we hold about you, which can include the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and the right to opt out of certain uses of it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
